I took many pictures of her that day. First, rather theatrically, she gave me a romantic image of herself in a flowing dress in her garden. I went along with it, but I was looking in her smart Chelsea home for some hint of her passionate Irish nature. I saw that every sofa and armchair had a shawl, a throw to cuddle up into. A painting added to the feeling of needy loneliness.
